I work on multi-scale assessment of thermal effects on slope stability. I combine the outcome of sample-scale studies run in a geotechnical lab, to those from slope-scale studies using thermal remote sensing and InfraRed Thermography and to statistical models for regional and catchment scales. I act as a reviewer for the journal Landslides, Bulletin of Engineering Geology and the Environment, Stochastic environmental research and risk assessment and Engineering Geology. I also participate in teaching at the Charles University in Prague in a course on 4EU+ Soil mechanics I and I co-supervise master, and doctoral theses in Applied Geology.
