3-D monitoring of active tectonic structures

3-D monitoring of active tectonic structures

The main objective of the action COST 625 is to study detailed data about micro-displacements of the ground on selected tectonic fault planes of tectonically active regions, producing either seismic or aseismic movements and their monitoring, interpretation, evaluation and exploitation in various fields of science, research, development and society.
Details:
3-D monitoring of displacements on selected tectonic fault structures in Czech Republic (Table Hills Ostaš and Hejda, Moravian-Silesian Beskydy Mts. and others).
Co-operation with foreign partners in the organisation of local 3-D monitoring networks on tectonic fault structures; notably using experience of IRSM in the instrumentation, including technical service with TM71 crack gauge and interpretation of results.
Archivation of data registered.
Physical models used for investigated structures in the laboratory of photo plastic models.
