The increased concern over the environmental impact of combustion on fossil fuels provides the impetus for learning more about the trace elements in coals. There is available unified model of trace element distribution in bituminous coal and anthracite. Essential data on the content of ecological important elements in bituminous coals and anthracites of the world basin are compiled. Three data sets of sulfur and trace elements distribution are statistically treated to compare the bituminous coal and anthracites of the Czech Paleozoic basins with world model coal seam. The project proposal on distribution of elements, namely sulfur and trace elements, in bituminous coal and anthracite in the world average coal seam (model distribution represents the continuation of our study between 1992 and 1999 when evaluted the distribution of the same elements in lignite and subbituminous coal from the world basin. The study is supported by the technical aspect and utilization of coal in the Clean Coal Technology program. It contributes to define the various coals from the ecological view point which can be used in decision what coals should be not be imported.
