Expressions of risky geomorphological processes in deformations of rock structures at Machu Picchu

Expressions of risky geomorphological processes in deformations of rock structures at Machu Picchu

Structural-geological mapping and structural analysis, monitoring of displacements within the ground, direct monitoring by technical means (monitoring net on key places within area of archaeological heritage using rot dilatometers and extensometers), indirect monitoring – by dendrochronology, study of weathering, development of river erosion, and of valley-sides will be summarized to evaluate geomorphologic risks of the surrounding area of Machu Picchu archeologic site.
