The present-day mobility of the marginal parts of Bohemian Massif is manifested by an increased seismic activity and the presence of mineral waters is fixed to prominent tectonic faults. In NE Bohemia, these phenomena are concentrated in the Hronov-Poříčí fault zone area. The effects of local seismicity to mineral water springs were observed after the strong NE Bohemian earthquake (I0 = 70) in 1901. But they were never systematically studied. This project is focused on the research of seismic regime in the Hronov-Poříčí fault zone area and on the effects of the local seismicity on the groundwater regime. This requires operating a local seismic array and implementing observation of the selected hydrogeological parameters at deep wells and mineral springs. The evaluation of hydrogeological monitoring will be targeted to the separation of the possible seismicity manifestations from the effects of other factors as tidal waves or basic meteorological elements course. In general, the project would contribute to the knowledge of groundwater role in the geodynamical phenomena research.
