Microstructure and fracture properties of fibrous composites

Microstructure and fracture properties of fibrous composites

The project encompasses investigation of microstructure and fracture behaviour of fibrous composites with ceramic matrix made by pyrolysis of a siloxane resin and ceramic fibres. Its aim is to contribute to better understanding of context between microscopic constitution of the material with its fracture behaviour in dependence on the matrix and fibre type employed, and on processing parameters of heat treatment.
