The project is focused on the laboratory study of behaviour of selected polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the system water - fulvic acid - natural organic carbonaceous "adsorbent". "Adsorbents" selected for this investigation include three geopolymers, two highly carbonified natural materials and graphite. Pyrene and anthracene are representatives of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. The interaction mechanism governing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons behaviour will be described in such a simplified system similar to polluted natural water. Obtained series of distribution coefficients and infrormation on the surface properties of solid "adsorbents" will be used to comple, apply and compare the possibility of molecular dynamics models.
